Tecom Co., Ltd., Taiwan’s leading telecommunications equipment maker, an affiliate of the Teco group, was established in 1980 in the Science-Based Park in Hsinchu, Taiwan and has been publicly listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since November 1991.

  • Since 2016, TECOM has become the Anchor of TECO Group’s  Smart Machinery Product Lines, in the capacity of design, manufacturing, marketing and sales.

  • Currently, TECOM leads the Smart Machine market in Taiwan.

Tecom’s Taiwan’s branch office is located in the Nankang Software Park in Taipei. This branch office specializes on Sales, Customer Service and R&D.
Tecom’s R&D centers are located in Taipei Nankang Taiwan and WuHan China. WuHan Tecom Co. Ltd., was established in 2002 at East Lake High-Tech Park, otherwise known as China’s Optical Valley.
Tecom’s internationally renowned, ISO9001/ TL9000 certificated, manufacturing facilities are located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Tecom manufacturing facilities specialize in low volume with high complexity, medium volume with medium complexity and high volume with low complexity productions.

Intel Invests VMAX, a Tecom Subsidiary for WiMAX Networks. Intel Capital seeking companies that have a sound management team, viable technologies and a good position in the market. Winner of the Science Park Innovative Product Award “2G/3G UMA Gateway”.

Vibo Telecom jointly established with the VMAX, and other related services in WiMAX.

Winner of the European telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom awarded for “Best Supplier Gold Medal” . OHSAS 18001 certified. Established Tecomtech WuXi Co. Ltd, a fully-fledged Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) Plant for Diversified Industrial Segments focusing on the design of communications products for the OEM field.

Signing MoU with Motorola to jointly develop Fixed Wireless Terminal to explore markets in China and Southeastern Asia. As the major partner of HiNET, Tecom provides xDSL broadband transmission service. Introduced Super Digital Hybrid Key Telephone System, 4 Internal related products – 2 plus Cordless (VoIP cordless phone), Air Jack, TeleRouter and Internal Speedway (IDSL) in Comdex Fall’99, Show in Las Vagas. Commenced collaboration with TAIWAN FIXED NETWORK CO., LTD., a licensed fixed network service provider in Taiwan.
1999
“The Easy Link Personal Handy Key System” won the honor of “1998 Innovative Product Award” by the Science Park, Hsinchu. Tecom received the ISO 14001 certification Commenced collaboration with TAIWAN HIGH SPEED RAIL CORPORATION to evoke national transportation development and to enter a new era of providing transportation service. Current Headquarters was established.

Winner of “The Innovative Award” at Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show, USA for its “DCTS-900” (900MHz TDMA Mobicel & MOBISET) Commenced collaboration with MOBITAI COMMUNICATIONS CO., LTD., a licensed GSM 900 MHz cellular service provider in Taiwan. KG TELECOM, a licensed DCS 1.8 GHz cellular service provider in Taiwan.

1996 Winner of the “Gold National Award of Excellence ’96” in the National Award of Excellence Competition for its “Wireless Access Communication Systems (WACS)-TCM31” and was given official authorized use in the 9th Presidential Inauguration.

Commenced collaboration with COMTREND CORPORATION, specializing in digital loop carrier and DSU/CSU transmission equipment. British Approved Board of Communication (BABT) Certified.

Winner of the “32128 Hybrid Electronic Telephone System” award for “Innovative Product 1989” by the Hsinchu Science Park. Winner of the “207/308 Hybrid Electronic Telephone System” award selected as “The Product of the Year” by the renowned TELECONNECT magazine. Introduced NO-KSU Intercom Telephone System, a user installable key system for Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) application.

Winner of the “1664 Hybrid Electronic Key Telephone System” award for “Innovative Product 1988” by CETRA (China External Trade Development Council). Winner of the DPGS (Digital Pair Gains System) award for “Innovative Product 1988” by Hsinchu Science Park with a featured published article in the renowned TELECONNECT magazine.

Winner of “Telamon 510 Electronic Key Telephone System” award for “Good Product Design Award” by CETDC (China External Trade Development Council). Winner of “Telamon 1664 Hybrid Electronic Key Telephone System” award “Innovative Product 1987” by SBIP, Hsinchu. Tecom invested in Ericsson, one of the three major cellular phone providers in Taiwan.

KT-510 was introduced, a family of Small Electronic Key Systems with 2 and 3 line capacities: 206 and 308.

Introduced a state-of-the-art Electronic Key Telephone System, Tecom.

Introduced a Turn-key PCM carrier system.
1982
Introduced Taiwan’s first fully featured D4 digital channel bank for PCM trunk carrier. Tecom became one of the major suppliers of digital channel bank equipment in Taiwan.
